Why We're Not Collecting Funds Yet

The Transplant Fundraising Program (TFP) has been developed by Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF) to assist transplant patients in preparing financially for ongoing transplant costs. These programs provide fundraising assistance and account management for transplant funds. Financial contributions are overseen by GTF staff and an Advisory Council providing fiscal accountability to transplant clients and their contributors.

Jan has applied for an Access to Care account, but she has not yet been approved. Access to Care provides accounts for fundraising dollars;  eligibility criteria include applying pre-transplant and exhibiting financial or insurance need. Patients must have a fundraising account held at GTF to be eligible for the match.

These accounts provide up to a $10,000 match and are used primarily for medication costs. The cost of immuno-suppressive medications (medications that help prevent organ rejection in transplants) typically ranges from $20,600 to $32,900 per year and even with medical insurance, the minimum co-pay will still be formidable.

Access to Care Matched Account Details:
Funds matched up to a maximum of $10,000 if eligible
Application required before transplant
Funds for non medication costs are limited to $1,000

As soon as Jan's account has been set up, we will post information about how to donate to her Access to Care Matched Account.
